Day 11 box office receipts for Salaar: Prabhas’ movie crosses Rs 625 crore globally, just Rs 25 crore shy of surpassing Baahubali 1’s global total.
Salaar’s box office earnings Day 11: Over the course of the extended New Year weekend, Prabhas’s film saw a notable increase in box office and is currently the fifth-biggest Indian blockbuster of 2023.
In the domestic market, director Prashanth Neel’s Salaar surged toward the Rs 400 crore milestone on Monday as New Year’s celebrations continued. The movie, which starred Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, saw a drop in its box office receipts during the week, but it rebounded during the profitable New Year’s weekend.
Day 11 box office receipts for Salaar totaled Rs 15.5 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. As a result, the movie’s total net revenue in India reached Rs 360.77 crore. With an occupancy rate of 48.75%, the Telugu version of the movie continued to bring in the most money overall. With 28.03% occupancy on Monday, the Hindi version of the movie is the highest contributor after Telugu. Next in order of occupancy are 20.26% Tamil and 16.32% Malayalam.
According to Hombale Films, the movie has made Rs 625 crore worldwide so far. It is only Rs 25 crore short of surpassing the first Baahubali’s Rs 650 crore global take-home amount. However, Salaar has already surpassed both Rajinikanth’s Jailer’s lifetime worldwide earnings of Rs 605 crore and Vijay’s Leo, which raked in Rs 605 crore worldwide earlier this year. Right now, Salaar is 2023’s fifth-biggest Indian film. However, it might be challenging to surpass Jawan’s earnings of over Rs 1100 crore. Salaar brought in Rs 308 crore in its first week of release, compared to Jawan’s Rs 389.88 crore. Only the Atlee actioner’s opening day record of Rs 90.7 crore was broken by the Prabhas film.
Actor Prabhas is appreciative of his fans’ support for Salaar in the interim. “While I decide the fate of Khansaar♔️💥, you all sit back and have a fantastic New Year darlings!” he wrote on Instagram on Monday, wishing his fans a happy new year. I want to thank you for taking ownership of #SalaarCeaseFire and making it a huge success. Since 2017, the actor had been having trouble scoring a hit. His next three releases, Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush, all failed miserably at the box office after Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
